Since 2011, BIOCONE have undertaken Nest Box Project in association with Science and Technology department, Government of Mizoram. More than 300 nest boxes were hanged in different parts of Mizoram.
On 7th March, 2011, BIOCONE organized Nest Box Month Kick Off programme at Govt Lawipu Primary School, Aizawl. The ceremony was attended by official from science and technology, planning department, govt of Mizoram and Mr. C Lalengliana, CF Wildlife, Environment and Forest department.
Lawipui Primary School teachers and students conserve their surrounding trees and wild animals with a great success. Nest boxes were hanged at different sites. In 2011, 60 nest boxes were hanged at different areas of Aizawl, Mizoram. More than 50 nest boxes were occupied by nesting birds.
